The All Progressives Congress has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections. The ruling Nigerian party outlined dates for its primaries across all elective offices.
The updated schedule, announced on Monday, was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu. According to the timetable, the party’s presidential primary election will hold on May 23, 2026.
Governorship primaries are scheduled for May 21, while State Houses of Assembly primaries will take place on May 20.
Senate primaries are fixed for May 18, and House of Representatives primaries will be held on May 15. The party said the revised schedule includes adjustments to timelines for screening of aspirants and appeals processes. It also outlined directives on the sale of nomination forms and designated bank accounts for payments.
The APC presidential expression of interest and nomination forms was retained ₦100 million. Governorship aspirants are to pay ₦50 million, Senate aspirants ₦20 million, House of Representatives aspirants ₦10 million, and State Assembly aspirants ₦6 million.
The party added that female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities (PWDs) will pay only for the expression of interest form and 50% of the nomination fee for each position.
