Nigeria’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, following a meeting of its National Executive Committee (NEC) on Monday.
The newly inaugurated Interim National Working Committee, led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, also approved the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants across various offices.
According to a statement signed by the committee’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, the presidential form has been pegged at 100 million naira. The party fixed the governorship form at 40 million naira, the Senate at 10 million naira, the House of Representatives at 7 million naira, and State Houses of Assembly at 2 million naira.
Nigeria’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for Jan. 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will be held on Feb. 6, 2027.
