The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) says it has extinguished a tanker fire under the Otedola Bridge and restored traffic flow along the corridor.
The agency said the fire involved a fallen tanker carrying 33,000 litres of diesel.
In an update on the incident, LASEMA said the fire was contained through a coordinated response involving the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, its response team, the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and the Lagos State Ambulance Service.
The agency said two adult men sustained second- and third-degree burns in the incident.
It said paramedics stabilised the victims at the scene before they were evacuated for further medical treatment.
LASEMA said the fire had been completely extinguished, while dampening operations were 80% complete at the time of the report.
It added that the recovery and removal of the fallen tanker would begin after the dampening exercise to ensure the safety of the area.
