The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the worsening insecurity in the country, saying the President should resign if he cannot protect Nigerians.
Adebayo spoke shortly after meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to him, the visit was aimed at showing solidarity with the government and people of Oyo State following recent security concerns in parts of the state.
He described the situation in Oyo as a reflection of the broader security crisis confronting many parts of the country.
Adebayo called on the President to prioritise governance over politics and improve the welfare and operational support for members of the armed forces.
