Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated what he called West Africa’s first multi-technology industrial additive manufacturing facility. The governor said the project would help reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported industrial components and spare parts.
Speaking at the opening of the Arridex facility in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Sanwo-Olu said local production of industrial parts would strengthen key sectors of the economy, boost industrial capacity and support economic growth.
“By producing industrial components and spare parts here in Lagos, Arridex is helping to reduce our dependence on imports, strengthen critical industries and support economic growth,” the governor said.
He commended the company for investing in advanced manufacturing technology and for developing solutions aimed at serving both Nigeria and the broader African market. “I commend the Arridex team for their vision and commitment to building solutions that serve not only Nigeria but the wider African continent,” he stated.
Sanwo-Olu added that the Lagos State government would continue to support investments that create jobs, expand local capacity and reinforce the state’s position as a centre for innovation and industrial development.
