The Benue State Government on Saturday confirmed the death of its Head of Service, Agbogbo Ode, after a brief illness.
Secretary to the State Government, Serumun Aber, who disclosed this in a statement issued in Makurdi said Ode died in the early hours of Saturday. “It is with deep sadness and regret that the Benue State Government announces the death of Dr Agbogbo Ode, the Head of Service of Benue State,” Aber said.
Aber described the late Ode as an “impeccable technocrat” and a respected figure in the public service.
She said that his death was a significant loss to the state. The head of service said his contributions, dedication and professionalism in the civil service would be remembered.
The state government extended condolences to his family, friends and associates, as well as the entire civil service, and prayed for the repose of his soul.
