The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast three days of cloudy weather, thunderstorms and moderate rainfall across the country from Wednesday to Friday.
The agency said northern, central and southern states are expected to experience varying degrees of rainfall and thunderstorms during the period, with heavier downpours likely later in the day.
NiMet warned of a high risk of flash flooding in Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states and advised residents in flood-prone areas to remain vigilant.
The agency also cautioned that strong winds may accompany thunderstorms, urging the public to secure loose objects, avoid driving during heavy rain, disconnect electrical appliances during storms and stay away from tall trees.
NiMet further advised airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports for safe flight operations and encouraged Nigerians to keep up with regular weather updates.
