Murtala Garo Sworn In As Kano New Deputy Governor

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has sworn in Murtala Sule Garo as the new Deputy Governor. The swearing in ceremony was held at the Government House in Kano.

The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Dije Aboki, in the presence of top government officials, lawmakers, traditional rulers, and party stakeholders.

In his remarks, Governor Yusuf charged the new Deputy Governor to remain committed to the administration’s development agenda.

He said that the appointment reflects confidence in Garo’s experience and capacity to support the government in delivering good governance to the people of the state.

For his part, Garo expressed gratitude to the governor and the people of the state for the trust reposed in him. He pledged to work with Governor Yusuf and other stakeholders to advance policies that will improve the welfare of citizens and strengthen democratic institutions in the state.

Dignitaries present at the event were former Kano State Governors Abdullahi Ganduje and Ibrahim Shekarau; Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin; and the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, among others.
