Nokia has designated Egypt as its regional support hub for the Middle East and Africa, establishing a centralised operational base in Cairo to enhance service delivery and customer support. The move comes as digital transformation accelerates across the region, driven by the expansion of 5G networks, increased cloud adoption and rising data consumption. These trends are placing growing demands on service providers and enterprises to manage more complex network environments while maintaining efficiency and reliability.

By consolidating its support operations in Cairo, Nokia says it aims to provide more coordinated, scalable and consistent services.

The hub will offer shared services across multiple time zones, improve responsiveness and enable closer collaboration between customers and internal teams, the company said.

Senior Vice President of Mobile Networks for the Middle East and Africa at Nokia Mikko Lavanti said the decision reflects confidence in Egypt’s strategic advantages, including its geographic position, expanding digital infrastructure and skilled workforce.

The firm said the facility will support it core business divisions, including network infrastructure, mobile infrastructure and global services operations. The technology giant is also expected to streamline internal processes, reduce operational complexity and standardise best practices across markets.
